In addition, our trade territories are contiguous, and for this reason we share many of the same members/patrons. Based on our initial assessment, our combined membership will benefit from the efficiencies gained from eliminating duplicate processes and also from achieving economies of scale due to our combined size.â€â€œIn addition, we also share common challenges that have already led us to our current working partnerships through Comark Grain, safety and compliance services, and human resources. We also want to emphasize that at this time the only decision made is to explore in greater depth, what the two Coops would look like together. The results of this study will be shared with both company’s members/patrons during meetings scheduled at a later date,†said Derek Totten, Chairman of the Farmers Coop Grain Association.About Danville Cooperative AssociationThe Danville Cooperative Association is headquartered in Danville, Kansas.Today, Danville Cooperative Association operates multiple grain elevators across South Central Kansas including locations in Argonia, Bluff City, Danville, Newport, Metcalf and Wellington.
