Razer Razer launched an April Fool’s campaign in 2010 for a gamer-focused drink, Project Venom V2. It turns out that seemed like such a good idea to some people that the company turned it into a real product in time for t his year”s E3, Razer Respawn (not to be confused with Jedi: Fallen Order developer Respawn Entertainment). But don’t call it an “energy drink” — it’s a “mental performance drink mix” that “contains premium ingredients that help support increased focus, reaction time, and mental stamina.”Respawn comes in single-serving powder packets that you mix with 16-20 ounces of water. A box with 20 packets of an individual flavor runs $25 (at Razer and Amazon); flavors are green apple, tropical pineapple, pomegranate watermelon and blue raspberry. You can also spring for the $30 custom shaker, which does not support Chroma, but that would be awesome. According to Razer, a serving has 20 calories and 95mg of caffeine. The full ingredient list is:Maltodextrin, Citric Acid, Green Tea Extract, Sucralose, L-theanin, Choline Bitartrate, Caffeine, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Ground Ginger, Modified Corn Starch, Corn Syrup solids, Niacinamide, D-calcium Pantothenate, Silicon Dioxide, Blue No. 1, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Cyanocobalamin.Razer distinguishes Respawn from energy drinks, saying “they tend to have excessive caffeine and sugar, giving you an initial burst but eventually leading to jitters or a physical crash.”   0 As for caffeine, one serving of sugar-free Red Bull has 80mg; Respawn’s 95mg of caffeine for a single serving is higher, but because the serving size is bigger (16-20 oz vs. 8.5 oz for Red Bull), math makes the amount smaller if you look at it by volume instead of serving size. The equivalent amount of Red Bull has 150mg or so. (In either case, they’re both less than the approximately 330mg in my morning coffee.)Razer does caution not to drink more than three servings per day. Qt for Python 511 released

first_imgThe Qt team, in their blog, announced the official release of Qt with Python support. This is the first official of Qt framework with the support for Python and this release is tagged as Qt for Python 5.11. Previously  Python support for Qt developers was provided through the development of PySide module and now the work is said to have been done on PySide 2 to provide Qt for Python. However, Qt team has been working on the core Qt framework for quite some time to incorporate Python support and this is the first breakthrough in that direction. Adding to this, the Qt team has also informed that r version of Qt earlier than v5.11 will not support Python. In the release notes, the team has mentioned that the following versions of Qt will continue supporting this project and make the support for Python, stable going ahead. This is said to be the preview release, with a list of known issues for early adopters. The team is hoping to receive the feedback from the users so that it can make the binding more smooth and rectify the bugs. A lot of work has also gone into keeping the Qt syntax unchanged for flexible migration from C++, the de facto language for developing UI with Qt, to Python and the other way round. It mentions in the release blog, that the major roadblock in providing the Python binding for the C++ based Qt was the size of packages. This made the team to work on using external tools for Qt scripting with Python, which had resulted in the development of PySide in 2009. To extend the support for Python, the work has been done on C++ headers in Qt framework, so that the developers can write modules in Python. These efforts resulted in the latest PySide 2 which has very less overhead for using Python and Qt for GUI development. The Qt team has worked on developing the documentation for this and has provided examples enables you to understand the binding. Along with the Python binding for the core Qt framework, the team has also extended support for various Qt toolkits like Qtwidgets and QML to build interactive GUI with Qt and Python. MLNET 10 RC releases with support for TensorFlow models and much more

first_imgLast week, the team behind ML.NET announced the release of ML.NET 1.0 RC (Release Candidate), an open-source and cross-platform machine learning framework for .NET developers.  ML.NET 1.0 RC is the last preview release before releasing the final ML.NET 1.0 RTM (Requirements Traceability Matrix) this year. Developers can use ML.NET in sentiment analysis, product recommendation, spam detection, image classification, and much more. What’s new in ML.NET 1.0 RC? Preview packages According to the Microsoft blog, “Heading ML.NET 1.0, most of the functionality in ML.NET (around 95%) is going to be released as stable (version 1.0).” The packages that will be available for the preview state are TensorFlow, Onnx components, TimeSeries components, and recommendation components. IDataView moved to Microsoft.ML namespace In this release, IDataView has been moved back into Microsoft. ML namespace based on feedback the team received. Support for TensorFlow models This release comes with added support for TensorFlow models, an open source machine learning framework used for deep learning projects. The issues in ML.NET version 0.11 related to TensorFlow models have been fixed in this release. Major changes in ML.NET 1.0 RC The ‘Data’ namespace has been removed in this release with the help using Microsoft.Data.DataView. The Nuget package has been added for Microsoft.ML.FastTree.
